Wellness Wednesday: Gratefulness for Greatness

Once you understand yourself more then you will easily understand others and your environment more. Perspective is everything because once you change your mind then you can change your life. I started this wellness Wednesday as a reminder of how important it is to take care of ourselves because we cannot grow or succeed without taking care of our minds, our souls, our bodies, and everything within us. How often do you treat yourself or put yourself first? How often do you thank your body for functioning or for the beautiful breaths of life that we enjoy every day, or simply taking yourself out in nature to enjoy the easy breezy wind and the summer sun?


Everything begins with me; I cannot get mad at others for being who they are. I am only responsible for me so what can I do to make myself happier, what can I do to make myself better, what can I do to make myself whole. Starting today start showing yourself more gratitude, rather than focus on what is going wrong start appreciating what is going right in your life. Is your cup half empty or is it half full? I strive to find peace within myself regardless of the situation because that sense of inner strength and self-reliance keeps me from breaking down and being shaken by temporary situations. Never stress over any situation that you cannot control; you may be down right now, but nothing lasts forever whether it is good or bad. Start changing your words today. Instead of saying I cannot start saying I will, instead of saying why me start saying this is for me, instead of complaining start appreciating.


Affirmation of the day: I admit that in the past I was my greatest enemy but now I make the conscious decision to be my own best friend. The love that I have been looking for in others, I will give it all to myself. May you smile and shine like sun and grow in gratefulness to unlock your greatness.
